John Kemp is chairman emeritus of the Kemp Klein Board of Directors, as well as Of Counsel to the firm. Mr. Kemp is semi-retired from the practice of law. Mr. Kemp has been involved in the development of innovative insurance products and the acquisition, merger and sale of insurance and other companies.

Mr. Kemp drafted one of the first software licenses paving the way for the present day multi-billion dollar software licensing industry. Prior to licensing, software was sold rather than licensed.

His legal career has been devoted to representing a variety of financial service companies and other successful businesses.

Mr. Kemp has proven to be an excellent negotiator in the consummation of commercial transactions as well as in the resolution of disputes. He maintains an “AV” peer review rating with Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, the highest peer review rating for attorneys.
