Mr. Feldstein was elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers in 1984 and has been honored by his selection, by his peers, for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© 2017 in the field of Family Law (Copyright 2016 by Woodward/White, Inc. of SC). He has been included in that distinguished Best Lawyers listing for the past 24 consecutive years. Mr. Feldstein was also designated by Best Lawyers as “Detroit’s Best Lawyer” in Family Law in 2012.
He maintains an “AV” peer review rating with Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, the highest peer review rating for attorneys, and has been listed as one of the top 5% of attorneys in Michigan by Michigan Super Lawyers magazine annually since its inception in 2006. Additionally, Mr. Feldstein has repeatedly been selected by a vote of his peers to be included in DBusiness Magazine’s list of Top Lawyers in the practice area of Family Law, most recently in 2015.
In innumerable Circuit Court domestic relations cases, Mr. Feldstein has been a court-appointed mediator. He has served as a Hearing Panelist for the Attorney Discipline Board, the adjudicative arm of the Michigan Supreme Court, and as a guest lecturer to the Oakland County Circuit Court upon the creation of the Family Court Division.
Formerly a National Committeeman for the University of Michigan Law School Fund, Mr. Feldstein’s professional memberships include American Bar Association, Oakland County Bar Association and Animal Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan. Mr. Feldstein is also a member of the Walled Lake-Wixom Lions Club and an Advisory Board Member of the Chamber Music Society of Detroit.
