Brian Rolfe is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Kemp Klein Law Firm. Brian’s practice is focused on helping business owners, families and individuals solve their legal problems. Whether resolving major business disputes or navigating through complex family matters, Brian is a creative problem solver and general advisor to all of his clients. He has been selected for inclusion in the 2013 through 2020 issues of Michigan Super Lawyers magazine featuring the top 5% of attorneys in Michigan. Business Law: Brian serves as general counsel to businesses and handles complex business disputes. He has successfully taken numerous trials to verdict, set precedent in contract interpretation matters, and has extensive experience in the federal courts. He has tried cases involving contract disputes, sales representative commissions matters, non-compete and Michigan Uniform Trade Secrets Act claims, among others.

Estate Planning: Brian helps families and individuals with estate planning and administration. Brian prepares wills, trusts and powers of attorney to ensure proper future handling of medical decisions, finances and the distribution of assets. In addition, Brian helps families work through the administration of wills and trusts and addressing related issues.

Family Law: With his background in business litigation, Brian serves his business owner, professional and professional athlete clients well in divorce proceedings to ensure their rights are fully protected. Adept at sorting through the significant emotional and financial issues occasioned as a result of a divorce proceeding, Brian obtains outstanding results for his clients.

Brian has run numerous marathons including Chicago, New York and Boston and enjoys golf and time with his family. Brian is also a MHSAA Certified Lacrosse Referee.

Location: Kent County Circuit Court
Obtained jury verdict of no liability in favor of client relative to a breach of non-competition and non-solicitation claims.

Location: Kent County Circuit Court
Obtained dismissal of tortious interference with business relationships claim against corporate client relative to client’s hiring of employee subject to non-competition agreement.

Location: United States District Court Eastern District of Michigan
Completed settlement in client’s favor in the amount of approximately $3 million dollars relative to breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duties, and copyright claims.

Location: Genesee County Circuit Court
Obtained dismissal of $250,000 breach of contract and fraud claims.

Location: Wayne County Circuit Court
Won $2.2 million dollar judgement in client’s favor in shareholder dispute and business litigation on claims of breach of fiduciary duties and interference with business relationships.

Location: Macomb County Circuit Court
Obtained dismissal of $840,000 breach of contract claim related to a Supply Agreement.

Location: Wayne County Circuit Court
Obtained $2.85 million global settlement in client’s favor for multiple breach of contract claims.

Location: Saginaw County Circuit Court
Won $145,000 on breach of contract claim.

Location: Macomb County Circuit Court
Jury trial resolved in verdict. Claim was limited to less than 20% of the amount the Plaintiff was originally seeking.
