Kemp Klein

The mission of the Kemp Klein Foundation is to provide support to charitable organizations and to promote volunteerism throughout the firm and community.

The attorneys and staff formed the Kemp Klein Foundation in 1994. Everyone in the firm is encouraged to be involved from hands-on volunteer opportunities to paying to participate in casual Fridays. The Kemp Klein Foundation is funded via proceeds from our casual Friday donations and contributions from the firm. Since its inception, the Foundation has contributed over $1,000,000 to hundreds of worthwhile causes which reflect our shared values.

The Foundation’s community outreach efforts include our longtime support of Oakland Literacy Council, our status as a Legacy Society Benefactor of Common Ground, and our contributions to Forgotten Harvest

Kemp Klein is a proud Legacy Society Benefactor for Common Ground. We have provided in excess of $200,000 in pro bono work to Common Ground. In addition to the pro bono work and financial contributions, we have hosted joint events for staff and clients of Common Ground, participated in Common Ground’s Adopt-A-Family initiative and we have held blanket making and other events to help those in need.

We believe literacy is vital, and in alignment with that belief, the Kemp Klein Foundation has supported Oakland Literacy Council for 30 years.

On Monday, September 16th, 2024, Kemp Klein held the 3rd Annual Kemp Klein Foundation Charity Golf Outing at the Boulder Pointe Golf Club in Oxford, to benefit Forgotten Harvest, a charity that has been fighting hunger and food insecurity since 1990. Forgotten Harvest delivers 144,000 pounds of surplus food per day to local charities five days a week, providing families in need with fresh and nutritious food free of charge. At a time when many families are struggling to choose between food, fuel and rent, the importance of their work just can’t be overstated. The event raised $33,000 for Forgotten Harvest, which will be able to feed around 129,000 people.

Kemp Klein sponsored The Learning Experience’s Inaugural Top Golf Outing to Benefit The Make-A-Wish Foundation. This event took place on April 23rd, 2023, and In total raised $15,565 that will help grant wishes to children with critical illnesses.
