Kemp Klein

Kemp Klein Foundation 25th Anniversary

April 24th, 2020

The Kemp Klein Foundation was founded 25 years ago to provide support to charitable organizations and promote volunteerism. Since its inception, the Foundation has contributed over $500,000 to hundreds of worthwhile causes. In addition, Kemp Klein has provided in excess of $200,000 in pro bono work to our lead charity, Common Ground. The foundation’s community outreach efforts include our longtime support of Oakland Literacy Council, our status as a Legacy Society Benefactor of Common Ground Sanctuary, and our contributions to Gleaners Community Food Bank. In 1995, Kemp Klein initiated a food and fundraising event, now known as the Hunger Free Summer Food Fight, to benefit southeast Michigan kids during summer break when they lose access to school-provided meals. The 26th annual Food Fight will be hosted by Gleaners Community Food Bank in July 2020. This winter, our attorneys and staff will gather to tie fleece blankets for Common Ground’s clients for the third consecutive year. The foundation is supported by the generosity of our employees and we look forward to continuing our partnership with local non-profit organizations.
