Mr. Rolfe’s practice is focused on helping business owners, families and individuals solve their legal problems. Whether he’s navigating a family’s estate plan or resolving a major business dispute, Mr. Rolfe is an exceptional advisor to his clients.
Mr. Rolfe helps families and individuals by preparing wills, trusts and powers of attorney to ensure proper future handling of medical decisions, finances, and other critical matters. Also, he assists clients with the administration of wills, trusts and related issues. For his business clients, Mr. Rolfe serves as general counsel and handles complex business disputes. In his 25 years of legal practice, Mr. Rolfe has won several multi-million-dollar settlements and verdicts including cases involving copyright litigation, shareholder disputes, employment matters, noncompetition agreements and similar business contract matters. He has argued, and has had cases published, in the Michigan Supreme Court and 6th Circuit Federal Court of Appeals.
Mr. Rolfe has represented professional athletes in litigation matters and currently represents high net worth individuals and families with estate planning, business planning and business succession planning matters.
Mr. Rolfe is a board member of the Kemp Klein Foundation which sponsors Common Ground and many other local and national charitable causes. He has served on a variety of non-profit educational and charitable boards and committees throughout his career.
In addition, Mr. Rolfe was named Top Attorney by Crain’s Detroit Business, has been included in Super Lawyers Magazine for the past decade, which features the top 5% of attorneys in Michigan, and was selected by his peers as one of the Best Lawyers in America.
Other Activities
Brian is the previous General Counsel to the Lake Orion Education Foundation and is a past member of the Crittenton Hospital Medical Center Planned Gifts Committee. He has written a number of articles related to employment and business law, has lectured on family law issues and he has appeared on the Business Reality Network radio program.
Brian has run numerous marathons including Chicago, New York and Boston and enjoys golf and time with his family. Brian is also a MHSAA Certified Lacrosse Referee.

Location: Kent County Circuit Court Obtained dismissal of tortious interference with business relationships claim against corporate client relative to client’s hiring of employee subject to non-competition agreement.
